Welcome
We are pleased to announce that the Spinal Injuries Association Conference 2009 will be held on Friday, 16th October 2009 in Brisbane, Queensland with our conference theme "The Reality of Today and the Hope for Tomorrow". The Spinal Injuries Association is the peak body for people with a spinal cord injury in Queensland. The Association was formed in 1960 'to provide occupational amenities, assistance and accommodation for people with paraplegia or quadriplegia'. Since that time, the Association has evolved into an organisation that provides a range of services across Queensland for people with a spinal cord injury; predominantly those with paraplegia, quadriplegia and the late effects of polio. We help people rebuild their lives; advocate for greater independence, equity and choice; and present a state-wide injury prevention program to school students. We sincerely hope you can join us!
