Tuesday 10th November 2009 - Registration Information and Starting Times
|
The
registration desk will be open from 7.30am on Tuesday 10th November
2009. Delegates are required to report to the registration desk on
arrival to collect their name badge and conference satchel. You will be
required to wear your name badge at all times as this is your 'entry
ticket' to all sessions.
The first session on Tuesday will
begin at 8.50am. Throughout the day delegates will be provided with
morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Wednesday 11th November 2009 - Registration Information and Starting Times

The registration desk will be open
from 8.00am on Wednesday 11th November for those who have not yet
collected their name badge and conference satchel. Delegates who have
previously visited the registration desk are not required to
re-register.
The first session on Wednesday will begin at
9.00am. Throughout the day delegates will be provided with morning tea,
lunch and afternoon tea.

Getting to the Conference - RBWH Education Centre
|

Transport from the Airport The
Education Centre is approximately 14 kms from the Brisbane domestic
airport and if the traffic is running well should take approximately 30
minutes by taxi. You could expect to pay a fare of around $40.00.
The
Airtrain departs the domestic and international airports regularly and
arrives at Bowen Hills Train Station in 15 minutes. The fare costs
approximately $13.50. You will then need to walk about 15 minutes to
the Education Centre. For departure times: www.airtrain.com.au.
Transport from the City From
the city centre the Education Centre is around 4kms and depending on
traffic should take approximately 15 minutes by taxi. The fare is
approximately $15.00.
Public Transport You can take a train to Fortitude Valley from anywhere in Brisbane and then take any bus in Brunswick Street, Fortitude
Valley (Bus stop 211 and 212) up Bowen Bridge Road and hop off at
either bus stop 8 or 9. This will drop you outside the Royal Brisbane
and Women’s Hospital in Herston. The Education Centre is only a short
walk from the bus stop. Buses can also be caught from the city.

Car Parking There
is limited street car parking available in the Herston area. There are
three multi-storey car parks available to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
These are all undercover and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As
they are privately owned parking charges will apply at each car park.
The rate for 1 day casual parking is around $20 per day.
- The Metro Car Park is situated in Butterfield Street.
- Wilson Car Park (Formally Kings Car Park) is situated at the junction of Gilchrist Avenue and Herston Road
- Royal Children’s Hospital Metro Car Park is located on Bramston Terrace.
Taxis The closest taxi rank to the Education Centre is located at the main entrance to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital off Butterfield Street.

REGISTRATION DESK The registration desk will be located in the foyer of the RBWH Education Centre. It will be manned by the conference organisers, Iceberg Events.
Registration Desk Operating Hours Tuesday, 10 November: 7.30am – 5.00pm Wednesday, 11 November: 8.00am – 5.00pm
Upon
arriving at the RBWH Education Centre please report to the registration desk to receive
your delegate kit. Should you need to contact the conference organisers
outside of these hours, please call Emma Tooth on 0409 270 350. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS All
dietary requirements which we have been notified of have been catered
for. At the Conference dinner please identify yourself to the staff for
your meal.

Health (University of Queensland) has had a leading role in
establishing and coordinating an internationally recognised event for
everybody interested in telemedicine, telehealth and e-health.
