IHEA 60th National Conference - Technical Tour
|
When: 10.00am – 12.00pm, Wednesday 9 September Where: Royal Pines Resort Meet in the Gold Coast International Hotel Lobby at 9.30am Dress: Casual with comfortable walking shoes
The
Technical Tour for the 60th National IHEA Conference will be held at
the Royal Pines Resort. The tour will include an overview of the site
and possibly a short tour of part of the grounds. Then there will be
some detailed inspections of various areas within the facility. Our
host will be Emanuel Lovriha who is the Property Operations &
Engineering Manager of RACV Royal Pines Resort.
PLEASE NOTE that it is essential to register to attend the technical tour in
advance as there are a limited number of positions on the tour. If you
would like to attend the technical tour and have not already registered

as soon as possible.

| Wednesday 9th September 2009 - Registration Information and Starting Times |
The
registration desk will be open from 12.00pm on Wednesday 9th September
2009. Delegates are required to visit the registration desk on arrival
to collect their name badge and conference satchel. You will be
required to wear your name badge at all times as this is your 'entry
ticket' to all sessions.
The first session on Wednesday will begin at 1.30pm.
A light lunch will be served from 12.00pm – 1.30pm and delegates will receive afternoon tea at 2.50pm.

IHEA 60th National Conference - Welcome Reception
|
When: 5.30pm – 7.30pm, Wednesday 9 September Where: Poolside, Gold Coast International Hotel Dress: Smart Casual
The IHEA 2009 Welcome Reception will be held poolside at the Gold Coast International Hotel. Delegates can enjoy drinks and canapes while getting to know each other in a relaxing, tropical setting. The MC and entertainer for the evening will be Nigel (the guy who remembers names).

The
registration desk will be open from 8.30am on Thursday 10th September
for those who have not yet collected their name badge and conference
satchel. Delegates who have previously visited the registration desk
are not required to re-register.
The first session on Thursday
will begin at 9.00am. Throughout the day delegates will be provided
with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

When: 5.30pm – 7.30pm, Thursday 10 September Where: Exhibition Area, GCI Hotel Dress: Smart Casual
Delegates can enjoy drinks, canapes and networking in the exhibition area and win some great prizes.
Remember to bring your Exhibitor Passport for some extra time to visit all of the exhibition booths!

The registration desk will be open from 8.30am on Friday 11th
September for those who have not yet collected their name badge and
conference satchel. Delegates who have previously visited the
registration desk are not required to re-register.
The first
session on Friday will begin at 9.00am. Throughout the day delegates
will be provided with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
For
those wishing to attend the annual Programmed Property Services morning
walk, you will be required to meet in the Gold Coast International
Hotel foyer at 6.30am on Friday 11th September. Please note that you
will be required to visit the Programmed Property Services exhibition
booth prior to Friday 11th September to register for the morning walk.

IHEA 60th National Conference - Conference Dinner
|
When: 7.00pm – 11.00pm, Friday 11 September Where: Sea World Meet in the Gold Coast International Hotel Lobby at 6.30pm to be transported to Sea World. Buses will return delegates to the Gold Coast International Hotel at 10.00pm and 11.00pm. Dress: Smart Casual
The
dinner will be held in the Paradise Room which boasts spectacular Sea
World park views through floor to ceiling glass walls. Delegates will
enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapés, a delicious Sea World three course
dinner, live musical entertainment and a surprise visitor.

IHEA 60th National Conference - Social Day
|
When: 9.30am – 3.30pm, Saturday 12 September Where: O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat and Canungra Valley Vineyard Meet in the Gold Coast International Hotel Lobby at 9.20am
O’Reilly’s is located in the heart of Lamington National Park, Australia’s largest area of sub-tropical rainforest. On arrival at O’Reilly’s the IHEA 2009 Social Day will begin with morning tea at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Pavilion. Guests are then invited to experience a birds eye view of the rainforest canopy on O’Reilly’s Tree Top Walk, an 180m walkway suspended 20 metres above the forest floor. For those with a fear of heights there is always bird feeding to keep you entertained. Delegates will then enjoy a 4WD bus drive around the Lamington National Park.
Guests
will then be transported to the Canungra Valley Vineyard for some lunch
and relaxation before being returned to the Gold Coast International
Hotel.

Getting to the Conference

Getting There The GCI Hotel is situated at 7 Staghorn Avenue, approximately 500 metres meters north of Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise.
If
arriving from the North, follow Surfers Paradise Boulevard into Surfers
Paradise and turn right at the overpass foot-bridge into Staghorn
Avenue.
If arriving from the South, follow the Gold Coast
Highway into Surfers Paradise turn right into Cypress Avenue and then
left into Surfers Paradise Boulevard then turn left again into Staghorn
Avenue.
Car Parking Undercover car parking is available for all in house guests. Valet parking is available at a rate of $10 per day from Concierge.

Gold Coast Airport The
Gold Coast Airport is located just 30km (approx 25 minutes drive) south
of the GCI Hotel. Brisbane Domestic & International Airport
The Brisbane Domestic & International Airport is 90km (approx 1 hour drive) north of the GCI Hotel.

Useful Information

REGISTRATION DESK The registration desk will be located just outside the Exhibition area at the Gold Coast International Hotel. It will be manned by our conference organisers, Iceberg Events.
Registration Desk Operating Hours Wednesday, 9 September: 12.00pm – 5pm Thursday, 10 September: 8.30am – 5.30pm Friday, 11 September: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Upon
arriving at the hotel please report to the registration desk to receive
your delegate kit. Should you need to contact the conference organisers
outside of these hours, please call Emma Tooth on 0409 270 350. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS All
dietary requirements which we have been notified of have been catered
for. At the Conference dinner please identify yourself to the staff for
your meal.
