In 2002 the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM) had the honour of hosting the International Congress of Aviation and Space Medicine (ICASM) in Sydney. We are delighted to have the opportunity of welcoming Aerospace Medicine Practitioners, Academicians, and their families back to our shores in 2012. The beautiful and iconic city of Melbourne will provide a spectacular venue for ICASM 2012.

Once again the Scientific Programme will address the major issues in the current practice of Aerospace Medicine in Airlines, the Military, Medical Retrieval, Accident Investigation, Human Factors, Physiology and Space. Scientific visits will provide an insight into aspects of Australia’s military and civilian aviation sectors. ICASM typically attracts 300-400 Aviation and Aerospace Medicine Practitioners from all over the world. Promotional material will be sent to the 800 members of the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM) as well as hundreds of other Aerospace Medicine Practitioners worldwide.
