The Green Infrastructure Research Group is a collaboration of scientists at the Burnley Campus,  who are studying how to maximise the environmental and economic benefits provided by plants in the urban environment. We seek to quantify and demonstrate the benefits of green infrastructure which encompasses the network of designed and natural vegetation found in our cities and towns. We are investigating a wide range of green infrastructure research topics including green roofs, green walls and vertical greening, urban street trees, greenhouse gas balance on urban green space and water sensitive residential gardens. International Leak Detection - Exhibitor

International Leak Detection holds licence for a system that allows breach detection of existing membranes on concrete substrates, without the necessity of removing tiles, paving, hotmix or garden materials.  It can also be used on new applications to test the integrity of new membranes over concrete or plywood, prior to covering with overlays or over-burden; or at any time in the future should the cable be permanently installed.

The Electric Field Vector Mapping (EFVM) technology uses a low voltage electric current across a pre-wetted surface.  Any breaches in the membrane allow an electrical connection with the substrate. This connection can be accurately located using the EFVM probes and potentiometer.
