 Invitation to Submit Abstracts
ASAM invites you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations, relating to endocrinology and ophthalmology and 2011 ASAM conference theme; ‘Keeping your Eye on the Ball’ as well as papers on other issues in aviation and aerospace medicine.
WHO SHOULD CONSIDER SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT
Anyone who is interested in the human element of aviation and space medicine. In particular aerospace medical examiners, military medical officers and flight surgeons.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Selected authors will be invited to present their papers in an appropriate session. It is anticipated that a presentation time of 15 or 25 minutes will be available with 5 minutes for questions.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Posters should relate to either the conference theme or other aspects of aviation and aerospace medicine. Submissions may relate to accepted papers for which the authors are not invited to make a presentation or to studies or reports for which a formal paper is not submitted.
Submitting Your Abstract
All abstracts must be emailed to admin@icebergevents.com.au and must be accompanied by the ASAM 2011 Submission Form.
Abstracts must be received by no later than 5pm 1 July 2011.
Author Instructions
- Abstracts must be received no later than 1 July 2011.
- Abstracts may be submitted via email to admin@icebergevents.com.au or a CD can be mailed to PO BOX 3080, South Brisbane, QLD 4101 accompanied by the ASAM 2011 Submission Form.
- All abstracts must be accompanied by the ASAM 2011 Submission Form.
- Faxed abstracts will not be accepted.
- Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words.
- Contact details, with the name of the presenter clearly indicated should be forwarded with each submission.
- Receipt of your abstract will be acknowledged as soon as it has been received / downloaded and checked.
- Notification of Acceptance will be provided by 18 July 2011.
- Presenters are requested to provide permission to reproduce the abstract in conference proceedings and their presentation on the conference CD.
- It is hoped that authors will also submit full papers for publication in the ASAM Journal.
- Papers are required prior to the commencement of the conference.
Dr Eric Stephenson Award
The inaugural ‘Dr Eric Stephenson Award for Best Presentation’ will be presented at the ASAM Annual Conference in 2011. All accepted presenters will be considered for this award with the exception of the John Lane Oration and Patterson Trust Lecture.
