you for registering to attend the 2010 ASAM Conference, to be held at
The Shine Dome, Australian Academy of Science, Canberra on 16 - 19
September. Please find below important information for your attendance.

Thursday 16 September - Registration Information
|
The registration desk will be open from 4.00pm - 5.30pm on Thursday 16th September at the Novotel Canberra, Pre-Function Area, Level 1.
Delegates
attending the Welcome Reception are required to report to the
registration desk to collect their name badge and conference satchel.
You will be required to wear your name badge at all times as this is
your 'entry ticket' to all sessions and conference functions.

Thursday 16 September - Welcome Reception - National Portrait Gallery
|
Time: 6.00pm-8.00pm Where: The National Portrait Gallery, King Edward Terrace, Parkes ACT 2600 Dress: Jacket & Tie
Bus Transfer: Bus departs at 5.45pm from Novotel for National Portrait Gallery via University House. The bus will be returning
to the Novotel via University House at 8.00pm.

| Friday 17 September - Registration Information and Starting Times |
The registration desk will be open in the Shine Dome Foyer from 8.00am on Friday 17th September for those who have not yet collected their name badge and conference satchel. All Delegates are required to visit the registration desk on arrival to the Shine Dome to sign-in.
The
first official session on Friday will begin at 9.00am. Throughout the
day delegates will be provided with morning tea, lunch and afternoon
tea.

Friday 17 September - Partners Program
|
Partners are invited to attend a morning tea at the Novotel at 10.00 am on Friday 17 September.
After morning tea, a shuttle bus will take partners to a mutually agreed place of interest. Entry is at partner's expense.

Bus Transfer: Bus departs at 6.30pm from Novotel for Black Mountain Tower via University House. The bus will be returning
to the Novotel via University House at 10.00pm

| Saturday 18 September - Registration Information and Starting Times |
The
registration desk will be open in the Shine Dome Foyer from 8.30am on Saturday 18th September for
those who have not yet collected their name badge and conference
satchel. All
Delegates are required to visit the registration desk on arrival to the
Shine Dome to sign-in.
The first official session on Saturday will begin at 9.00am. Throughout the day delegates will be
provided with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
For
those interested the Annual General Meeting will be held at 4.00pm at the Shine Dome.

| Saturday 18 September - Gala Dinner - Australian War Memorial |
Time: 7.00pm-11.00pm Where: Australian War Memorial, Treloar Crescent, Campbell ACT 2612 Dress: Black Tie or Winter Mess Kit (Navy Jacket)
Bus Transfer: Bus departs at 6.30pm from Novotel for Australian War Memorial via University House. The bus
will be returning to the Novotel via University House at 10.00pm and
11.00pm

| Sunday 19 September - Registration Information and Starting Times |
The registration desk will be open from 8.45am on Sunday 19th September for those who have not yet collected their name badge and conference satchel. All
Delegates are required to visit the registration desk on arrival to the
Shine Dome to sign-in.
The
first official session on Sunday will begin at 9.15am. Delegates will
be provided with morning tea and a close of conference lunch.

Getting to the Conference and Bus Transfer Timetable
|
Our conference venue this year is the Shine Dome, Australian Academy of Science, Gordon Street, Canberra ACT 2601. To view an interactive map of the conference and social function venues and accommodation, click here.
A
courtesy shuttle is provided throughout the conference for your
transfer to and from the Novotel and University House. To view the bus
timetable, click here. Alternatively, both the Novotel and University House are within walking distance to the Shine Dome.

Useful Information
|
REGISTRATION DESK The registration desk will be located at the Novotel Canberra, Pre-Function Area, Level 1 on Thursday 1th September and in the Foyer at the Shine Dome for the remainder of the conference. It will be manned by the conference organisers, Iceberg Events.
Registration Desk Operating Hours Thursday, 16 September: 4.00pm-5.30pm Friday, 17 September: 8.00am-5.00pm Saturday, 18 September: 8.30am-5.00pm Sunday, 19 September: 8.45am-12.00pm
Upon
arriving at the Shine Dome please report to the registration desk to
receive your delegate kit and sign-in. Should you need to contact the
conference organisers outside of these hours, please call Emma Tooth on
0409 270 350.
PARKING AT THE SHINE DOME There
is no parking at the Shine Dome on Friday 17th September 2010. Off site
public parking areas are situated close to the Shine Dome off Gordon
Street and McCoy Crescent. A fee is payable during business hours
however there is no charge in the evenings or at weekends.
Limited on street parking is available at the Shine Dome on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September 2010.
INTERNET Wireless internet is available for all ASAM Conference delegates at the Shine Dome.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS All
dietary requirements of which we have been notified have been catered
for. If you have notified dietary requirements, at the Conference
Dinner please identify yourself to the wait staff.
