Getting to the Venue

Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank

Brisbane is a compact, connected city, ideal for walking and getting around via the many scenic river and bridge walks. The city's efficient transport network makes it easy for visitors to find their way about the city.

The Centre's central city location is convenient for visitors with easy and direct access to an efficient citywide transport network of buses, trains, taxis and the river's high-speed regular catamaran service. The city to airport Air Train operates from the South Brisbane train station, adjacent to the Convention Centre.

The City's international and domestic airports are only a 20 minute taxi ride from the city centre and the Convention Centre.
 
Airtrain - Catch the Airtrain from South Brisbane station to Brisbane’s international and domestic airports. Tickets are available for this service from the Client and Visitors Services Centre located in the Main Foyer.

Bus Services – South Bank is serviced by two bus stations : The Cultural Centre Station on Melbourne Street and the South Bank Busway Station cnr of Colchester and Tribune Streets, South Bank. A free city loop bus service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District including South Bank.
 
CityCats – A popular and speedy way to travel the river. The CityCat terminal is located outside the riverside restaurants on the riverside promenade. CityCats operate daily from 5.30am to 10.30am. 

Taxi – Taxi ranks are located outside the main entrance to the Convention Centre, at Mantra South Bank in Grey Street and at various locations throughout the precinct.

Trains - There are two train stations within a five minute walk of the Centre. South Bank Station accessed from Tribune Street and South Brisbane Railway Station adjacent to the Convention Centre in Grey Street.

What are the public transport options?
A comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best way to visit and travel around the city. The Translink website contains more details: www.translink.com.au

Car Parking - There are over 1,600 undercover parking spaces available at the Centre, accessed by Merivale and Grey Streets.  The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Mon-Sun  0-6 hours  $13.00
   6-7 hours  $15.00 
   7-8 hours  $17.00
   8-9 hours  $19.00
   Over 9 hours (maximum daily rate)  $21.00
