Jodie Antrobus
Senior Health Promotion Officer Jodie is a registered nurse and has a Masters in Health Science (Health Promotion). Jodie is the Senior Health Promotion Officer for the Queensland Cervical Screening Program and has worked in the Program for the past five years.
Andrew English
Authorised Representative Andrew has been involved in financial services since 1999. He worked in London and New York for eight years, advising private clients in Pan European and North American equities. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts and has completed post-graduate study at the University of Sydney in Sustainable Management. He is a Master Member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia (SAA) and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Claire BuntonSenior Quality Officer Claire helped draft the HQCC standards, launched in July 2007, and has been involved in the recent standards review. Claire is currently working on a project analysing the HQCC’s complaint data as part of the organisation’s development of an early warning system for healthcare. Michelle HooperHead of Quality Accreditation and Program Management Michelle is employed as Head of Quality Accreditation and Program Management with GPA ACCREDITATION plus. She has been assisting and supporting general practices through the accreditation process for six years. As part of her role with GPA Michelle enjoys, and is skilled in presenting and conducting practice staff training through GPA’s online educational program – GPA ONLINE plus. Michelle enjoys the opportunity to travel and meet practice staff, whilst promoting the GPA program to new and existing customers. Prior to joining GPA, Michelle lived in Sydney for many years and worked in the real estate industry, before moving on to a position with an insurance firm. It was here that Michelle developed her extensive administration and management skills, which today are a valuable asset to the GPA team. Business Manager Carolyn Ingram stems from a background in education having taught as a secondary educator since 1991. She began her interest in practice management when her husband set up in private practice in 2003 and soon after joined the AAPM Qld branch to gain valuable education and network opportunities from the organization. Carolyn Ingram opened ‘Clinic Aesthetic ‘, a non-surgical cosmetic clinic based at the Mater Hospital, South Brisbane in late 2005. This clinic offers its clients the unique experience of knowledgeable medical and experienced beauty therapists who have been comprehensively trained and work alongside a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon At the completion of his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science (MBBS) in 1991, Scott proceeded to surgical training and was admitted as a of Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) as a General Surgeon in 1998. Following his General Surgical training he then went on to study Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and completed this fellowship in 2003. Scott’s dual specialist qualifications are a rarity in the industry and place him at the forefront of his field. Now recognised as one of the leaders in his field, Scott enjoys taking an active role in the medical community by sitting on the boards of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Scott is also a member of the Queensland Hand Surgery Society and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. George Karakatsanis

George’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Finance), a Diploma of Financial Planning and Professional Diploma of Securities & Derivatives.
Liz Ostermann
Health Promotion Officer Originally from the UK, Liz has a background in exercise science, health promotion, education and screening, working in the private sector for more than 15 years in corporate health, providing health consultation to large corporations such as Telstra, Western Mining Corporation, Powerlink and Department Public Works. She is currently completing masters in public health, and enjoys balancing working for BreastScreen Queensland, and family life with 2 very active young boys. Gary SmithAcademic Director Gary Smith is Academic Director of UNE Partnerships’ Certificate III in Business Administration Ricky SmythClinical Educator Ricky joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1979 at the age of 15, and served in several roles over a 10 year period, including medic; educator; clinical team leader; and Occupational Health Surveyor. Joining the Queensland Ambulance Service (or QATB) in 1989, Ricky has been employed in various roles on the Gold Coast, including: paramedic; Clinical Support Officer; Officer in Charge QAS Helensvale / Mudgeeraba / Southport; Executive Officer to the Assistant Commissioner South Eastern Region; and Single Officer Intensive Care Paramedic for the previous 11 years. In his spare time, Ricky works as a Medical Educator with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, facilitating Intermediate and Advanced Life Support Continuing Medical Education Programmes (CEMP) throughout Australia, and as a Clinical Educator with Pulsestart Training Solutions.
