IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR DELEGATES - PLEASE READ

Dear Registered Delegates
Thank
you for registering to attend the AAPM Staff Development Day to be held
this Saturday, 18th April 2009 at the Brisbane Convention and
Exhibition Centre, South Bank.
Below is important information about the Staff Development Day.
|
Registration Information
|
The registration desk will be open from 8.00am-8.45am in Plaza Level Foyer. Tea and coffee will be available.
To make the registration process easier, please note the following:
- Collect your delegate kit with your name on it. There will be alphabet signs and your kit will be in order of your surname.
- Please have your licence or confirmation letter with your name on it so it's quick to find your delegate kit!
- You will also be handed your satchel bag (it contains important information about sponsors and exhibitors, and special offers).
Your Name Badge will have your Workshop Selections on it, please make sure you go the workshop you have selected.

Catering and Special Dietary Requirements
|
Your
Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea will be provided in the Plaza
Level Foyer. This is a great opportunity to visit our Exhibitors!
All
dietary requirements which we have been notified of have been catered
for. Please identify yourself to the staff. If you have any special dietary requirements and have not yet notified
Iceberg Events, please contact Emma Tooth on emma@icebergevents.com.au as soon as possible.

All
plenary sessions will be held in the Plaza Terrace Room, with different
break out rooms for the workshops. The name of the session will be at
the door of each room. Your name badge will say which workshop session
you're selected. Please refer to the Program and Floor Plan for the
room that your session will be in.

Getting to the Venue
Brisbane
is a compact, connected city, ideal for walking and getting around via
the many scenic river and bridge walks. The city's efficient transport
network makes it easy for visitors to find their way about the city.
The Centre's central city location is convenient for visitors with easy
and direct access to an efficient citywide transport network of buses,
trains, taxis and the river's high-speed regular catamaran service. The
city to airport Air Train operates from the South Brisbane train
station, adjacent to the Convention Centre. The City's international
and domestic airports are only a 20 minute taxi ride from the city
centre and the Convention Centre. Airtrain - Catch the Airtrain from South Brisbane station to Brisbane’s
international and domestic airports. Tickets are available for this
service from the Client and Visitors Services Centre located in the
Main Foyer.
Bus Services – South Bank is serviced by two bus stations : The Cultural Centre
Station on Melbourne Street and the South Bank Busway Station cnr of
Colchester and Tribune Streets, South Bank. A free city loop bus
service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District including South
Bank. CityCats – A
popular and speedy way to travel the river. The CityCat terminal is
located outside the riverside restaurants on the riverside promenade.
CityCats operate daily from 5.30am to 10.30am.
Taxi – Taxi ranks are located outside the main entrance to the Convention
Centre, at Mantra South Bank in Grey Street and at various locations
throughout the precinct.
Trains - There are two train stations within a five minute walk of the Centre.
South Bank Station accessed from Tribune Street and South Brisbane
Railway Station adjacent to the Convention Centre in Grey Street.
What are the public transport options? A
comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the
Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best
way to visit and travel around the city. The Translink website contains
more details: www.translink.com.au
Car Parking - There are over 1,600 undercover parking spaces available at the
Centre, accessed by Merivale and Grey Streets. The car park is open 24
hours, 7 days a week. Please make sure you bring your ticket with you
and pay at the ticket machines before getting to your car.
Car Park rates (Mon-Sun): 0-6 hours $13.00 6-7 hours $15.00 7-8 hours $17.00 8-9 hours $19.00 Over 9 hours (maximum daily rate) $21.00
