WelcomeSustainable Growth in South-East Queensland
Attracting Development, Maintaining Regional Growth, Sustainable Corporate Real Estate and Development Solutions for South-East Queensland
CORENET GLOBAL - BRISBANE SYMPOSIUM
Symposium Theme ![]() South-East Queensland is the fastest growing region in Australasia. It will, together with its Capital City – Brisbane, surpass the population of the Greater Melbourne Area and become the second largest region in Australia by 2020. CoreNet Global is the world’s largest real estate industry association. It has as its fundamental elements the objective to foster learning and understanding of the property industry needs for economic development and corporate real estate (CRE) management. These two elements go synonymously together to ensure sustainable growth, particularly in a diverse region like South-East Queensland. All levels of Government, and key private sector organizations are currently working hard to ensure that the regional needs of South-East Queensland will be satisfied as best possible for future generations. This includes making South-East Queensland a place of destination, with sustainable development, for corporate organisations (local, nation and international) into the future. This objective extends across all elements of economic growth demands including transport infrastructure, residential proximity to commercial and industrial workplaces, the development and positioning of those commercial and industrial developments in relation to other key factors, amenity and social infrastructure and regional investment. The CoreNet Global Brisbane Symposium in April 2008 seeks to provide an insight into the coordination and innovation that is currently underway to ensure that “Sustainable Growth in South-East Queensland” is not just an objective, but a certainty for the future.
